The visionary team behind My Place Hotels of America has been involved in nearly every aspect of the hotel business for almost 40 years. My Place Co-Founder, Chairman and CEO Ron Rivett co-founded Super 8 Motels Inc. in Aberdeen, South Dakota in 1974, along with long-time friend Dennis Brown. After selling the wildly successful Super 8 Motels System in 1993, Ron remained in the hotel business, developing, building and operating Super 8 motels and other branded properties as a franchisee until 2011.
Ron's grandson and My Place Co-Founder President & COO Ryan Rivett has grown up in the hotel business, and has learned it from every angle. Since graduating from Northern State University in Aberdeen, Ryan has been extensively involved in all facets of both the hotel and multifamily apartment business, from design and development to financing, construction, and management. Ryan's first hand experience in both industries provides a unique prospective on the economy extended stay hotel concept that has become My Place Hotels of America.
